Lorraine N. Brandt, 98, formerly of Gardners, PA, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 in the Thornwald Home. She was born October 26, 1919 in Adams County, PA to the late Ross and Hanna Davis Richwine and was the widow of Vann H. Brandt, who passed away July 20, 1971. Lorraine retired from South Middleton School District and was a member of the Mt. Victory United Methodist Church. An avid gardener, she enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables, and loved making meals for her family and friends.
Lorraine is survived by two daughters, Audrey (Charles) Fickel of Gardners and Barbara Brandt of Carlisle; three sons, Everett (Donetta) Brandt of Reading, Lee (Lona) Brandt and Tony (Cindy) Brandt, both of Carlisle. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her siblings, Zula Richwine of Carlisle, and Zeina Miller and Darlene (Ted) Baker, both of Gardners. Lorraine was predeceased by her great-granddaughter, Ava Grace Kalbach and siblings, Ross Richwine, Hilda Richwine, Eugene Richwine, Lillian Ream, Joyce Richwine and Virginia Rowe.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 12:00 PM in the Mt. Victory United Methodist Church, 1 Victory Church Rd., Gardners, PA 17324 with Pastor Thomas Phillips officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Victory Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
