Lois Shughart

Lois R. Shughart, 92, of Carlisle, PA, passed away Sunday, January 29,2017 in the Cumberland County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Born December 15,1924 in Carlisle, PA to the late Charles and Hilda Lindsey Caufman, she was the widow of Clair Shughart who passed away March 2, 1987.

Lois was employed at the Forest Park Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide and was member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard, tending to her flowers and loved to cook and bake. An avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, Lois also liked to watch NASCAR.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Donna K. Stamm, Carol J. (Randy) Coldsmith and Cheryl E. (Edwin) Hoch, all of Carlisle; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 11:00AM with the Rev. Matthew Plant officiating in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Westminster Memorial Gardens.
