Linda Thomas

Linda M. Thomas, 73, of Mechanicsburg, PA peacefully passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. She was born October 5, 1945 in Franklin, PA to the late John and Beulah DeLong and was the widow of George B. Thomas, who passed away January of 2008.  She retired from Renovo Rehabilitation Hospital. Linda attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg, PA.  She loved spending time with her family and was a talented quilter. She spent many hours volunteering at New Hope Ministries and loved the time she spent there. She also participated in mission trips to Kentucky helping the less fortunate.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynette M. and husband, Joe Curran of Carlisle, son, George B. Jr.  and wife, Lynn of Sacramento, PA and their two children, Alexsis Thomas and Trent Thomas and his, fiancé, Kristine Earl; son, Andrew L. and wife, Jennifer of Mechanicsburg and their twins, Kellie and Connor. Also surviving are her sister, Connie and husband, Jim Thomas of Mechanicsburg and sons, James R. Thomas of Mechanicsburg and Mark E. Thomas of Camp Hill, PA; sister-in-law, Alice Ann Wright of Franklin and son, Steven Wright of South Carolina; sister-in -law, Norma Robertson of the Dominican Republic; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Alt of Franklin her daughters, Kim Alt and Tricia Alt McKenzie of Franklin.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt Holly Springs, PA 17065. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 2 at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Mechanicsburg, PA with Rev. Timothy Sahd as celebrant. Interment will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery at the convenience of her family. Memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Ministries or a charity of your choice in memory of Linda Thomas.
