Linda R. Smitz

Linda R. Smitz, 80, of Carlisle, PA, passed away in her home on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. She was born April 1, 1943, in Dillsburg to the late Walter and Lydia (Krall) Diller.

Linda was a graduate of Northern High School. She was a member of Faith Chapel in Carlisle and a former member of the Blue Bird Society. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and bird watching.

Surviving is her husband of 56 years, Curtis B. Smitz of Carlisle; children, Matthew J. Smitz of Texas and Angela M. (Smitz) Wood of Carlisle; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; and brother, Robert Diller of Dillsburg; and sister, Roxie Lent of Carlisle. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her eleven brothers and sisters.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Faith Chapel of Carlisle, 1453 Holly Pike, Carlisle, PA, 17015. A Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. There will be a luncheon following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Chapel Missionary Fund, 1453 Holly Pike, Carlisle, PA 17015.
