Linda Powell

Linda M. Powell, 70, of Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born November 17, 1942 in Carlisle to the late Glenn and Ann Fry Mickey.

Linda graduated from Carlisle High School and Shippensburg University and was a school teacher before becoming a Mother.  She loved gardening, reading, cooking and especially helping others.  She adored her golden retriever, Chance, whom she called Chuck.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristin (Mark) Swab of Carlisle, step daughter, Mary Mancini of Mechanicsburg, and a step granddaughter Alexis Swab. Linda was predeceased by her husband, Dennis A. Powell who passed away June 7, 2009 and a step daughter, Charlotte Powell.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, Pa. 17065.
