Linda Weaver Dagen, 73, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on October 30, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Harvey W. Weaver, Jr., and Jeannie (Roth) Weaver. Linda’s father sadly died when she was 5 years old. Linda was blessed with a second amazing father when Jeannine married Glenn Stoner.
Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Edward (Ed) Dagen, MD; three children, Brooke (husband, Eric) Brehm of Carlisle, Heidi Dagen of East Greenwich, RI, and Jonathan (wife, Danielle) Dagen of Boiling Springs; five grandchildren, Collin and Evan Diehl, Chase, Brynley, and Jax Dagen; two brothers, John H. (wife, Michele) Weaver of Hershey and Jeff L. (wife Karen) Weaver of Hershey; and sister, Lori A. (Stoner) (husband, Greg) Fanelli of Danville, PA. She was preceded in death by her fathers, Harvey Weaver, Jr., and Glenn Stoner; her mother, Jeannine Stoner who passed away on October 22, 2024.
Linda fulfilled her dream of being a stay at home mom and enabled Ed to fulfil his obligations as a surgeon while nurturing their children and grandchildren with loving care. Her passion was baking and cooking large family meals for every occasion she could think of such as birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and any other day someone could come. She loved flowers and making beautiful potted arrangements. Linda managed everything at home so others could work and follow their dreams. She also managed a successful Longaberger Basket business for over 20 years by shunning selfish ambition and sharing the hard work equally with her branch members. Linda’s children took compassionate hands- on care of her when she could no longer care for herself. Dad supported them in whatever ways he could. The end of life care will be remembered as the most meaningful work of the family to date.
Linda was active in her church work and worship, extended family activities, and serving others in their time of need. She welcomed death as a normal part of life and relief from earthly suffering. She was looking forward to a joyful spiritual eternity.
