Leota Ross

Leota G. Ross, 89, and formerly of Waynesburg, PA, passed away Thursday, May 23,2013 in the Nursing Care Unit of Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg, PA. She was born April 2, 1924 in Waynesburg, to the late Lafy Hughes & Margaret Chess Hughes.

Surviving are her five children: Ronald Ross of Gloucester, MA; Richard Ross of Mechanicsburg, PA; William Ross of Hagerstown, MD; Catherine (Ross) Rahter of Lancaster, OH; and Timothy Ross of Thornton, CO. Also surviving, are 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Leota was active in church life from her childhood, and was well known for her many beautiful & spiritually-gifted solo presentations.

Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Green County Memorial Cemetery, Waynesburg, PA.  Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or to the magazine “Israel My Glory” (Westville, NJ).
