Lawrence M. "Tom" Bard II, 59, of Carlisle, PA passed unexpectedly Sunday, 22 November 2015.
He is survived by his beloved son, Benjamen, 14, and his parents, Lawrence and Nancy, all of Carlisle. Also surviving are four siblings, Laryn & Pat Latta (Carlisle), Tim (Carlisle), Luke (Eugene, OR), Samantha & Chris Gibbons (Alexandria, VA). N
ieces and nephews, Jennifer Kemp of Spokane WA, Sarah Murphy of Des Moines IA, Mike Murphy of Pittsburgh PA, Willy Murphy of Portland OR, and Josh of Carlisle will miss their generous, caring uncle. Also surviving is Benjamen's mother, Sandra Bybee of Carlisle. Tom’s neighbors and friends were also a very important part of his life.
Tom graduated from Carlisle High School and attended Penn State University. He was employed for many years by Henkles & McCoy.
A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church, 2135 Ritner Hwy, Carlisle, PA 17015 on Saturday November 28, 2015 at 2pm.
Tom spent many happy times at Opossum Lake. The family requests that any memorial contributions be made in his name to Friends of Opossum Lake Conservancy, 1205 Easy Rd, Carlisle PA 17015.
