Larry Gettel

Larry H. Gettel, 61, of Carlisle, PA, died on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.  He was born in Chambersburg, PA on Jan. 31, 1952 to the late Harold and Delores Patterson Gettel and was preceded by his sister Debbie Gettel.

Larry was a retired Laboratory Technician from the former Carlisle Hospital, and he attended the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Carlisle, PA.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cleta M. Mickey Gettel, son; Larry A. Gettel and a daughter; Lori A. Ali and her husband Gamal all of Carlisle, PA.  Also surviving are two brothers, Donald E. Gettel of Maryland, Roger L. Gettel of Chambersburg, two sisters; Susan D. Merletti and her husband Frank and Gretchen Stump and her husband Larry both of Chambersburg, PA

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs.  Officiating will be the Reverend Rick Robinson. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.  There will be a viewing in the funeral home on Tuesday, from 10:00AM until time of services.  The family request memorial contribution be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Central Pa Chapter 2040 Linglestown Rd.
