Kirby L. Fahnestock, 61, of Mt. Holly Springs passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 in the Hershey Medical Center. He was born June 25, 1953 in Mechanicsburg, PA to the late Ada M. (Minnich) Fahnestock and Donald E. Fahnestock of Mt. Holly Springs, PA. He was a graduate of the Boiling Springs High School Class of 1971. Kirby was employed by Pennsy Supply, driving truck for 29 years and was also a former employee of Wise’s Arco Station and TV Cable. A member of the Upper Adams Fish & Game Club and the Kettle Creek Sportsmen Club in Potter County, Kirby enjoyed hunting and watching wildlife, especially at his cabin in Potter County. He loved his daily trips to Pine Grove Furnace and Michaux State Forest and was an avid reader.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his brother, Bradford Fahnestock of Mt. Holly Springs and nephews, Cory Fahnestock of Mt. Holly Springs, and Quay Fahnestock of Dubai, UAE.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Road, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with the Rev. Richard Reese officiating. The family would like for everyone to be in casual attire. A visitation and luncheon will follow the services in the church social hall. Interment will be held in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.
