Kimberly L. Bailey

Kimberly L. Bailey, 62, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on December 23, 2024, in the UPMC West Shore Hospital. She was born July 5, 1962, in Carlisle, PA to the late Ralph Grimes and Bertha (Sheriff) Bitner.

Kimberly worked as a bus driver for Walsh Transportation of Carlisle and previously for Health South Rehabilitation of Mechanicsburg and DB Schenker of Carlisle. She loved to cook and bake in her spare time and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Kimberly was simple and outgoing, could talk to anyone and had many friends.

Surviving is her loving husband of 33 years, Lloyd Bailey of Carlisle; children, Peggy Grimes of Carlisle, Mishana Johnson of Carlisle, Atelvage Bailey of Camp Hill, Tanisha Bailey of New York, Shykaila Boutte of Harrisburg, and Sharif Washington of Carlisle; sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; and siblings, Tony and Keith Grimes, Genia Swartz, Leann Shealer, and Tonya Washington. Kimberly was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph “Tom” Grimes, Jr.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065. Burial will follow in the Letort Cemetery, Carlisle, PA.
