Kenneth R. Yingst, 77, of Carlisle, PA, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at his home. He was born November 12, 1939 in Shellsville,PA to the late Thomas and Ada Mumma Yingst.
Ken retired from Lear Corporation with 40 years of service. He was a member of PA National Guard and the Mt. Holly Springs Golden Age Club. Ken enjoyed spending time with and vacationing with family and friends. He also loved watching his grandchildren play various sports.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lois “Toots” Martin Yingst of Carlisle; two daughters, Tammy DeSimone and friend Jim Gage, and Lisa Fink and husband Michael,both of Boiling Springs; five grandchildren, Marine Corporal Dominick DeSimone, Corbin DeSimone and Drew, Dalton and Erika Fink. Also surviving are seven siblings, Thomas Yingst of Hershey, Erma Shepherd of Lititz, John Yingst of Liberty, MO, Barbara Baker of Mechanicsburg, Shirley Coy of Boiling Springs, James Yingst of Harrisburg, and Joyce Dunlap of Dillsburg; and many nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his sisters, Dora Railing, Mary Rynard and Betty Blough.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Carlisle County Club, 1242 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Bryan Hoke officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
