Kelsey Lobdell Schulz, 85, Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in the West Shore Hospital. Formerly of Old Tappan, NJ, she was born February 14, 1931 in New York City to the late Charles E. & Jane E. Hopkins Lobdell.
Kelsey previously worked as a newspaper reporter and columnist for the Westwood News, NJ. Kelsey's children’s book “Tinsel, The Tree that Grew” was published in 2014. She served 6 years on the borough council of Old Tappan, NJ mostly as police commissioner and was preparing a book of reminiscences.
Kelsey is survived by five children, Jeanette, Stephen, Elizabeth, Julia and Christopher; five grandchildren, and her brother, Jared.
She was a member of the West Shore Brethren in Christ Church, Mechanicsburg. A Celebration of Life Services will be held in her church on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2 PM with the Rev. Dr. Bob Verno officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to her church, 1085 Orrs Bridge Rd., Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
