Kay LaRue

Kay Yvonne LaRue, 67, of York Springs, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at her home. She was born February 2, 1949 in Gettysburg, PA to the late Robert and Verdella Starner Davis and was the widow of Victor LaRue who passed away June 6, 2012.

Kay received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Shippensburg University and retired from the Naval Supply depot after 28 years of service. Kay was a member of the York Springs United Methodist Church where she played the organ and piano. She was also a member of the Praise Team for her church.  Kay loved flower gardening.

She is survived by a son, Michael LaRue; a daughter, Teresa Bailey; and a grandson, Jacob Bailey, all of York Springs. Also surviving is her sister Patricia Beam of Gardners.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the York Springs United Methodist Church, 840 Trolley Road, York Springs, PA 17372  with the Rev. William McNeal officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at her church. Interment will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
