June Frantz

June E. Frantz, 89, formerly of Newville, PA died early Tuesday morning April 30, 2013 in the Forest Park Health Care Center, Carlisle, PA.  She was born in Carlisle, PA on May 17, 1923 to the late Milton and Velva Fanus Lutz.  She was the widow of Robert H. “Bob” Frantz who died on August 20, 2008 and was preceded by her son, Curtis M. Hunt who passed on September 18, 2011.

June was a member of the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church.  She  attended the Shippensburg State Teacher College for two years and was a former E.R. Nurse in the former Carlisle Hospital.  In June’s spare time she enjoyed oil painting, hunting, fishing and all types of recreational sports.

She is survived by her daughter, Holly L. Di Giovanni and a son, Thomas E. Hunt, both of Newville, PA.  Also surviving are five grandchildren: Luke H. and Gabrielle Di Giovanni, Carlie Thomas, Thomas E. Hunt Jr. and Crystal Hunt.  June was preceded by a brother, Roy Lutz and a sister, Esther Lutz.

A graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in the Dickinson Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 1:30 PM.  Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Ed. Alwine.  There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA.
