Jouetta M. Bream

September 7, 1932 — February 9, 2022

Jouetta M. Bream, 89, of Mt. Holly Springs, passed away peacefully and went home to rest with her LORD and Savior on February 9, 2022. She was born on September 7, 1932, in Carlisle to the late Arthur and Freda (Killian) Crusey and was the widow of Sylvester Bream Jr., who passed away on May 25, 1995.

Jouetta was a Boiling Springs High School Graduate, class of 1951, a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Carlisle, in her youth, a member of the Uriah United Methodist Church, Gardners, as an adult, and Mt. Holly Springs Golden Agers Club. She was employed by the Carlisle Shoe Company, Mt. Holly Springs Elementary School, where she was the head cook, Allen Dairy and Leo’s Dairy, and Giant Foods. Her most recent place of employment was Karns Foods. Jouetta loved her family and her LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ and was best known for her tight hugs, smiles, and words of encouragement. In her spare time, she loved gardening and baking, and was known as the local cherry pie queen.

She is survived by her loving children, Laurie Hull of Arendtsville, Stan Bream (Jeanette) of Carroll, Iowa, Sid Bream (Michele) of Zelienople, Chris Mumma (Ken) of Enola, Theresa Bream of Mt. Holly Springs, and Sheldon Bream (Shannon) of Arlington, VA; 12 surviving grandchildren (Ethia Miller [Jeremy] of Biglerville, Janaia Kline [Chad] Arendtsville, Lyle Grant and Todd Grant [Becky] both of Fargo, ND, Dawn Wolter [Michael] of Hutto, TX, Michael Bream [Beth] of Fort Worth, TX, Tyler Bream [Becca] of Zelienople, Austin Bream [Jenny] of Old Hickory, TN, Shaley Bream of Old Hickory, TN, Heidi Mumma of York Haven, Ken Mumma Jr of Eldon, MO, Steven Mumma [Tasha] of Shermans Dale); 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Marie (Crusey) Baker of Mt. Holly Springs. Jouetta is also survived by numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Daniel Bream and brother, Donald Crusey.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the Uriah United Methodist Church, 925 Goodyear Road, Gardners, PA 17324 with Pastor Paul Thompson officiating. A viewing will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 and one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in the Uriah United Methodist Church Cemetery, following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Uriah United Methodist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
