Joseph Peter Malkowicz, 76, of Dillsburg, PA passed away on May 31, 2015 at his home, attended by his wife and daughter. Born on March 28, 1939 in Staten Island, NY to the late Joseph and Stephania Tomczyk Malkowicz, he is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara. Also surviving is his daughter, Letitia F. Ro (Jooik) of Carlisle; a son, Thomas M. Malkowicz of Portland, OR and a sister, Helen S. Malkowicz of Chapel Pointe in Carlisle.
Joe adamantly wanted there to be no formal religious services. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that those who so desire would use such money to purchase a Holman Christian Standard Bible, a translation that is both accurate and easy to read. During his last months, he urgently asked his friends to consider the claims of Jesus Christ upon the individual’s life. Joe tearfully considered the impossibility of ever seeing his beloved friends and relatives again should they fail to appropriate for themselves the beautiful promises of the Savior for eternal life and a place of responsibility in his coming kingdom.
Joe wholeheartedly believed what is written in the New Testament in the Bible about how it is simply by God’s fond favor (grace) that humans are rescued from the desire and practice of sin and from the penalty for their personal offenses against their Creator. This is made possible to anyone who wants to take full advantage of all that the obedient Jesus Christ gained for us, as he made full payment for all sin. He promised before his arrest to further elucidate the various aspects of the personality of God and His desires for His own, even after his death and resurrection. Please consider what is written in Ephesians, chapter 2, verses 1-10 and Titus, chapter 3, verses 3-8. In John, chapter 17, verse 3, Jesus defines eternal life. To find these places, please see the Table of Contents in your New Testament. This is so important because the Bible clearly states that those who reject the message of Christ consider themselves unworthy of eternal life. (Acts chapter 13, verses 38-46) Joe would really like to see you again!
