Jonnie Leaphart Griswold

Jonnie Leaphart Griswold, 67, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025.

Jonnie was born in Boiling Springs, PA on March 4, 1957 to the late Betty Arlene Sweeney and Harry L. Sweeney Sr. A graduate of Boiling Springs High School, she later retired from her career at PennDot. Photography, making jewelry, and her grandchildren were some of her many loves. Reading the Bible and mysteries were also some of her favorite pastimes. She is renowned by friends and family for making the best peanut butter fudge!

Jonnie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Frank Griswold; her son, Branden Leaphart (Anna); stepchildren, Jesse Griswold and Adam Griswold (Aubree); grandchildren; Colter and JacobLeaphart; siblings, Harry L. “Skip” Sweeney, LaDonna “Sis” Miller (Charles), Margie Jo Fish (Gene); and her step–grandchildren; Sophie, AJ, Carson, Chloe, Paytyn, Brayden, Ollie, and Bryson Griswold.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 15, from 11:00AM to 1:30PM at Citizens Fire Company #1 located at 405 Forge Rd, Boiling Springs, PA 17007. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Citizen’s Fire Co at 100 Chestnut St, Mt Holly Springs, PA 17065.
