John W. Eppley

John W. Eppley, 92, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on May 13, 2024, in the UPMC Carlisle Hospital. He was born November 27, 1931, in Carlisle.

John was a Carlisle High School graduate class of 1949 and Shippensburg University in 1954. He taught geography, history, and English in York County area until 1956. John was then hired by INA in the claims department and later by IRA as a rehabilitation supervisor, now both owned by CJ and NA. Where he spent about 19 and a half years with INA and IRA. John then founded Keystone Rehabilitation service, a commercial rehabilitation service and worked around 10 states for the next 25 years.

He was a lifetime member of the Carlisle Masonic Lodge, #260, the Consistory, the Shrine, and Samuel C. Perkins of Mechanicsburg. He was also a member of the Mt. Holly Springs Lions Club for 23 years. He was a protestant faith attended various churches over the years, with a special interest in Eschatology.

Surviving John is his wife, Dorothy M. Eppley of Mt. Holly Springs; daughter, Bonnie L. Todd (Stephen) of Mechanicsburg; son, Barry L. Eppley, M.D, DMD, plastic surgeon (Andrea) of Westfield, IN; grandchildren, Andrew Todd, Amanda Huber (Robert) and Dr. Hannah (Eppley) Ludlow (Dr. Samuel Ludlow); and great grandson, Landon Huber.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs. Visit www.HollingerFuneralHome.com to offer condolences to the family.
