John Raymond Bobb, 91, of Carlisle passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 in Chapel Pointe, Carlisle. He was born June 20, 1923 in Mt. Holly Springs to the late Charles and Flora Emlig Bobb. John was the widower of Mary Maxine Bobb.
John retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot and worked for the Mechanicsburg School District. He served in the US Army during WW II. John loved to travel, going on bus trips (to the casinos) and fishing.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Linda J (Steven) Green of York Springs, Patricia K. Wooten of Lewisberry and Debra A. (Keith) Stine of Dillsburg; 6 sons, Terry R. (Freda) Bobb of Carlisle, Larry J. (June) Bobb of Aspers, Stanley C. (Helen) Bobb of Jacksonville, Fl, Michael L Bobb of Dillsburg, Randy J. (Luann) Bobb of East Berlin and Steven R. (Nora) Bobb of Shermansdale. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; a brother, George Bobb and a sister, Doris Hockley both of Carlisle. John was predeceased by a daughter, Connie Marie Bobb and his long time girlfriend, Clara Myers.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 12, 2015, in the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with the Rev. Richard Reese officiating.
