John Randolph Aires, 55, of Gardners, PA, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015 in Carlisle, PA. John was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on January 20, 1960. He graduated in 1978 from Winston Churchill High School in Potomac, Maryland and attended the University of Maryland, College Park and the American University in Washington, D.C.
John worked for the Peters Orchards in Gardners for many years and exhibited their fruits, winning multiple awards at the annual State Farm Show. A gifted painter and musician, he was also passionate about skateboarding and snowboarding. John will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of twenty years, Sarah Hunter Aires of Gardners; his parents, Randy and Ginny Aires of Gardners; three siblings, Juliet Aires Giglio (husband Keith) of Syracuse, NY, Kevin William Aires (wife Karlyn) of Elkins Park, PA, and Katherine Aires Byrnes (husband Greg) of Wilmette, IL ; and sister-in-law, Nancy Hunter Eikler of Carlisle. John especially loved his eight nieces and nephews. He also cherished his animals: Rascal, Bailey and Abigail.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Road, Mt. Holly Springs, PA with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. All are invited to join the family for a reception in the church social hall following the services.
