Jody Rae Sherman

Jody Rae (Rickrode) Sherman, 50, of Carlisle, PA, passed away October 18, 2023, in the UPMC Carlisle Hospital. She was born February 8^th, 1973, in Carlisle, PA, to the late Harry J. and Peggy L. (Martin) Rickrode.

Jody was a Carlisle High School Graduate, class of 1991. She worked as a CNA for the Church of God Home in Carlisle and waitress at the Little Johns restaurant, Carlisle. Jody was adventurous, taking spontaneous road adventures. She enjoyed hiking and loved attending Grateful Dead concerts. Jody had a spitfire and spunky personality and was considered a “trooper”, having gone through a lot in life. Her greatest accomplishment was becoming a mom.

Surviving is her son, Gregory S. Sherman of Carlisle; siblings, Roger L. Rickrode of Carlisle, and Tammy J. Wisser of Maryland; mother-in-law, Connie Sherman of Carlisle; and devoted best friend, Jen Sharp of Philadelphia. Jody was preceded in death by her siblings, Rodney C. and Lisa A. Rickrode.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 1:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services and burial will be held in the Westminster Memorial Gardens.
