Jo Ann Fishel

Jo Ann S. "Jo"  Fishel, 80, of Shiremanstown, PA, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 in the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 1, 1937 in Wellsboro, PA to the late K.C. and Bernita Powers Spencer.

Jo was a member of the St. Luke's Episcopal Church Altar Guild for 55 years and served as Altar Guild Directress for 28 years. Other memberships included:  Jo was a member of the York White Rose and Susquehanna  Chapters of the Embroiders Guild of America. Family oriented, Jo dearly loved her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Mark T. Fishel and two sons, Jeffrey E. (Cheryl) Fishel of York Haven, PA and their children, Gabrielle and Kaitlyn, and Craig S. (Christy) Fishel of Jersey Shore, PA and their children, Elizabeth and Cameron. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Shirley Spencer of Wellsboro, PA. Jo was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Spencer of Wellsboro, PA.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM in St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 8 E. Keller St., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 with Rev. Cannon Robert Alan Schiesler, PhD. officiating. Private inurnment will be in the church columbarium. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or to Grane Hospice Care, 1200 Camp Hill Bypass, Suite 205, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
