Jennie C. Morda

Jennie C. (Plocha) Morda, 94, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022, in the Cumberland Crossing Nursing Home. She was born February 8, 1928, in East Vandergrift to the late Frank Plocha and Josephine (Nawrocki) Plocha and was the widow of Walter Edward Morda Sr.

Jennie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts, gardening, and needlepointing. Her greatest love was her grandchildren. For over 50 years, she lived on Ladnor Lane in Mt. Holly Springs. She was a member of the St. Patrick’s Church.

Surviving are her children, Walter Morda (Jean) of Newville, their children, Timothy (Marie) and Andrew (Sarah), John Morda (Susan) of Carlisle, their daughter, Kimberly (Mark) Ahearn and Christine Needham (Harold) and their children, Ben (Judi) and Stacey; six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends from Ladnor Lane and Cumberland Crossing. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Bridget and Windsor and three brothers and four sisters.

Arrangements are being handled privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 152 E.
