Jeffrey A. Tuckey, 72, of York Springs, PA, went home with the Lord on December 17, 2024, in his home. He was born on December 17, 1952, in Aspers, PA, to the late Lavern B. and Dorothy E. (Hoff) Tuckey.
Jeffrey retired as a legislative clerk for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Prior to this he worked at the Rite Aid Corporation for 29 years. He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially fishing with his grandson Patrick. Jeffrey has his own “Mountain House in Driftwood, PA, and was known as the “deer whisperer” because he fed and interacted with the deer and elk. He was a member of the Dillsburg American Legion Post 26, Driftwood Senior Center, May Hollow Sportsman’s Club, Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Club and the Rocky Mountain Elk Federation. Jeffrey was a very humble and graceful man, even though his sickness of which he fought a courageous battle for four years. He loved his family and was very proud of his kids and grandkids. He loved God, and was a wonderful husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend to many. Greatness can be defined as one who knows how to live well, laugh often and love much. Everyone who knew him was blessed by his presence.
Surviving is his wife, Teresa (Welsh) Tuckey of York Springs; children, Tierna (Bryan) Neff of Mechanicsburg, Gregory (Jen) Gamble of Dillsburg, and Amber Roadcap (Dominick Barnes) of Harrisburg; brothers, Bradley Douglas (Vicki) Tuckey of Loysville, Wade J. (Paula) Tuckey of Gardners; grandchildren, Lily Pallis, Nathaniel (Emma) Gamble, Anna Gamble, and Patrick Roadcap; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was preceded in death by Brock L. Tuckey.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 4th at Community Christian Fellowship 360 York Rd Carlisle Pa 17013 at 3:00 in the afternoon followed by a meal at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Driftwood Senior Center, 7806 Bridge St, Driftwood, PA 15832, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
