Jean E. Rhinehart, 86, of Gardners, PA passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 in the Gettysburg Hospital. She was born August 22, 1929 in Spring Grove, PA to the late Charles C. and Lillie Pottorff Moose. She was the widow of Harold E. "Brownie" Rhinehart who passed away in 1997.
Jean worked at McCoy Electronics in Mt. Holly Springs. She was a member of the Idaville United Brethren Church. Jean enjoyed sewing, loved Nascar and her cat, Sammy, but her favorite thing was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas H. and Henry D. both of Gardners and Timothy P. of Harrisburg; four daughters, Lois A. Foster of Aspers, Susan M. Thompson of Gardners and Donna D. Watson of Gettysburg, and Catharine J. Neiderer of Abbotstown. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a sister, Alice M. Gardner, York Springs; many nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by two sons, Fred E. and Joseph C; a daughter, Jane L. McCoy; four brothers, Russell, Donald, Edgar and John Moose; and a sister Katharine Moose.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with the Rev. Stuart Johns officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
