Jane Ann Nagode of Carlisle, 78, went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2013. She was born August 31, 1935 in Windber, PA to the late Clarence and Ruth Ronan Kelly. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Carl Nagode; her daughter, Melissa Nagode of Carlisle; a sister, Patricia Funair of Brockport, PA; two nephews, Thomas Repine of Denver CO and Steven Funair of Long Beach, NY; and her niece, Heidi McGeary of Allison Park, PA.
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Pepper Laboratory in Philadelphia, PA, Jane Ann worked as a laboratory technician for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh before moving to this area where she worked at Three Springs Family Practice. Jane Ann was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and was involved in the RCIA Ministry. She was an established artist of tole painting and was a member of the Penns Wood Painters. Jane Ann was an avid reader, talented seamstress and enjoyed cooking and ballroom dancing.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 87 Marsh Dr., Carlisle, PA at 11:00 AM with the Rev. William C. Forrey celebrant. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, 5 N. Orange St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
