Jane Griffie

Jane E. Griffie, 88, of Gardners, South Middleton Twp., passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Lloyd R. Griffie who passed away March 6, 2000. Jane was born May 12, 1925 to the late Joseph William and Naomi Zula Beck Cleaver.

She was a member of the Mt. Victory United Methodist Church and previously worked at several local businesses including: Twirley Top, Mountain Creek Camp Ground and the former Duffy Motts and Hi Hat.

Jane is survived by her three sons, Jeffrey (Helen) Griffie of Carlisle, PA Keith (Debra) Griffie of Gardners, PA and Todd (Sharon) Griffie of Sarasota, FL; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and her brother, Howard (Dutch) Cleaver of York. She was predeceased by two brothers, Russell and Edward (Pipey) Cleaver and two sisters, Helen Thumma and Margaret Richwine.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 13 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA with Rev. Bryan Mann officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Victory Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday, August 12 from 6 to 8 PM and 1 hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
