James Touloumes J.

James J. (Demetrios) Touloumes Jr., 83, of Carlisle, PA passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 in the West Shore Hospital with his family by his side. He was born February, 18, 1933 in Pottsville, PA to the late James S. and Vasiliki D. Imverotou Touloumes.

James served his country in the United States Army. He was the owner & operator of the former T. Jimmy's Place (U.S. Hotel) and the Holly Inn, in Mt. Holly Springs, and also Kosta's Fine Cuisine in Camp Hill, PA.  A member of the Greek Orthodox Church, The Pillars of Orthodoxy, James was a founder and long time warden of the Parish; an ordained reader of the church and was a pilgrim to the Holy Land. He was awarded by his peers, and the Bishop for services in the Dioceses.  James was a member of the VFW #7343, BPOE # 578 and the American Legion Post #674. His passion was always for his church, family and children.

James is survived by his wife of 53 years, Froso I. Barbuzanes Touloumes; daughter, Vasiliki (Vikki) Avery and her husband Scott and their children, Euphrosyne and Cleopatra of Carlisle; son, Constantine (Kosta) Touloumes and his wife Michelle and their children, Marianna, Demetrios and Eleni of Carlisle and son, James Demetrios J. Touloumes III and Elizabeth and their children, Nikolas and Alexis of Abbotstown. Also surviving are two brothers, Constantine J. Touloumes of Harrisburg and Alexander J. Touloumes of Mechanicsburg.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Spero J. and Arch Deacon Photios Touloumes.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Greek Orthodox Church, The Pillars of Orthodoxy, 350 Old West York Road, Carlisle, PA 17015 with Protopresbyter, Rodion Laskowski and Presbyter, Mark Beesley officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pillars of Orthodoxy Icon Fund in Memory of James J.
