James Larry Morrow, 74, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born May 20, 1947, in Harrisburg, to the late Bert and Betty (Baltosser) Morrow.
James was a lowboy/dump truck driver and was a United States Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam war. He was a fierce competitor in all sports, games, and in life until the very end, earning the moniker of The Crafty Vet and Old Mongoose. He was a generous, loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family unconditionally.
Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Morrow of Carlisle; children, William B. Morrow and wife, Cristina (Dear) of Landisburg, Brent D. Morrow (Lieutenant Colonel Ret.) and wife, Eleanora (Ella) of Decatur, AL, and Jaime Zehring and husband, Thomas (Staff Sergeant) of Harker Heights, TX; grandchildren, Madison, Alexis, Emma, Abigail, Isabel, Olive, and Samuel Morrow, Taylor Beitler, Blake, Sydney, and Riley Thebes. Also surviving are his siblings, Carol Lightner of Shermans Dale and Richard Steven of Enola. James was preceded in death by his sisters, Lynne Shull and infant sister, Kathleen Morrow.
