James Hartman

James M. Hartman, 91, formerly of Mechanicsburg passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Church of God Home in Carlisle. He was born December 27, 1923 to the late Arthur Lee and Nora May Silveus Hartman in Harrisonburg, VA.

Jim served in the Army during WW II and retired from the Naval Depot as a large crane operator. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of God and a Master Mason F&AM. He loved camping and hunting.

James is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Helen E. Seifert Hartman; two daughters, Wendie (Robert) Haring of Lewisberry and Marie (Rev. Michael) Trimmer of Felton, PA; two sisters, Beatrice Brunk of Ohio and Kathryn Bostic of Mechanicsburg; his brother, Ted Hartman of VA; 4 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the Mt. Pleasant Church of God, 146 S. York Road, Dillsburg, PA 17019 with the Rev. Zack Wilt officiating. There will be a viewing from 2:00 PM until the service. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
