James Richard Brinkley, 81, of York Springs, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, in his home. He was born February 7, 1941, in Canonsburg, PA, to the late Varney and Mary C. (Masiyouski) Brinkley.
James served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war then later worked for and retired from the federal government as a Quality Assurance Specialist where he inspected all vehicles that were used by our military. He was a member of the Mason Shrewsbury Lodge post 423 and his hobby consisted of collecting lead soldiers.
Surviving is his loving wife Judith L. (Bissell) Brinkley; children, Susan (Randy) Koller of York Springs, Scot (Rebecca) Brinkley of Gettysburg, and Donna of Texas; grandchildren, Grace, Amber, and Shannon; and many nieces and nephews.
Services are being held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 55 W.
