Jack Scott

Jack W. Scott, 73, of Mechanicsburg, PA passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at his home. He was born May 7, 1943 in Carlisle, PA to the late Edward W. and Mabel Hall Scott.

Jack retired from Middlesworth Potato Chip Co. as supervisor for route sales, he was a former insurance representative for Prudential, and a former school bus driver for Mechanicsburg School District. He was a member of the American Legion # 109. Jack was a volunteer fireman and ambulance driver for Lower Allen Twp. and was also head coach of the Mechanicsburg Girls’ Softball team. Jack was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara A. Seifert Scott , a daughter, Tracy A. Lechthaler, two grandchildren, Emily and Evan Lechthaler all of Mechanicsburg. He was predeceased by his son-in- law, Brian W. Lechthaler.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April19, 2017 at 11:00AM in the Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 with the Rev. Ho Shik Kang officiating. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. There will be a viewing Tuesday, April 18 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Malpezzi Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
