Jack Jones

Jack Richard Jones, 68, of Boiling Springs, PA, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was born May 16, 1947 in Chambersburg, PA to the late Albert Jones Jr. and Edith King Jones Stump.

Jack grew up in the town of Walnut Bottom and graduated from Big Spring High School, class of 1966. He lived in Churchtown for 42 years and was employed by the Book of the Month Club for 32 years. Jack served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Eagles Arie # 1299, White Circle Club, Amvets Post #274 and VFW Post #477, all of Carlisle; and the American Legion Post #674 in Mt. Holly Springs.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Susan Moyer Jones; three sons, Richard (Kimberly) Jones of Perry County, Brian (Rebecca) Jones of Carlisle and Scott Jones of Churchtown; three granddaughters, Karissa, Rylee and Brianna Jones; a grandson, Kyle Maus; and a brother, Jay (Karen) Jones of Carlisle and their daughter, Alix.   He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Ann Jones; brothers, Robert Lee, Alan and Donald Jones; and stepfather, Elmer Stump Sr.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens with military honors conducted by the Cumberland County Honor Guard.
