Inaclaire Darby

Inaclaire Darby, 77, of Mt. Holly Springs passed away Friday December 20 in the Hershey Medical Center. She was the widow of Melvin G. Darby who passed away July 13, 2011. She was born September 4, 1936 in Brooklyn NY to the late Frank A. & Frances L. Smith Meyers. Inaclaire was a faithful member of the St. Patrick Catholic Shrine Church.  She was a member of the Council of Catholic Women, St. Luke’s Ministry, Our Lady Queen of Peace Rosary Makers, founded by Inaclaire, Women’s Auxiliary of the DAV and Women’s Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association.

She is survived by two sons, Michael J. Darby of Arizona and John P. Darby of Pittsburgh; and six daughters, Barbara J. Beeman of South Carolina, Shelia L. Brown of Dover, Delaware, Laura L. Dundorf, Eileen C. Mulroy, and Mary M. Zayas-Bazan all of Carlisle, and Karen M. Bream of Mt. Holly Springs. There are 17 grandchildren: Bridget, Christopher, Michael, Lauren, Rene Ryan, Lance, Joseph, Emily, Heather, Ian, Rhonda, Sean, Rachel, Erin, Tim, Helena Claire, and Madelyn Rose and 9 great grandchildren: Ashlyn, Isabella, Autumn, Makensie, Emie, Trent, Mason, Luke, and Alayna.  She is also survived by 1 brother, Arthur Meyers of Omaha, Nebraska and 5 sisters, Delores Chetel, Marjorie Sacarbino and Carol Zwycewicz all of Long Island NY, Frances Schiro of Florida and Rosemarie Cliege of Brooklyn, NY.  She was predeceased by her brother Frank Meyers and two sisters, Ann Walsh and Irene Perez. For those that knew, Melvin and Inaclaire, they knew that they had a special place in their hearts and home for Jim and Emily McGinnis and their children, Joe, Andy, Jeremiah, David and Rachel. Since dealing with the loss of her husband, she found great comfort with her special companions, Jake and Buttons.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 23 at 10:30 AM in the St. Patrick Shrine Church, 140 East Pomfret St. Carlisle, PA with Rev. William C. Forrey, as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery N. Middleton Twp.  The viewing will be in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 501 N. Baltimore Ave. Mt. Holly Springs, Sunday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM with the Rosary recited at 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her church, or the Rosary making committee or to the Neurology Department at the Hershey Medical Center.
