Helen K. Keller, 70, of Carlisle passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at home. She was born September 21, 1945 in Carlisle to the late Benjamin and Catharine Brownawell Mattis.

Helen worked for the South Middleton School District as a custodian. She was an avid reader, loved watching professional wrestling and to play bingo. Elvis was her favorite entertainer.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Margie (Adam) Vaughn of Mt. Holly Springs and Scarolet (Jeremie) Roach of GA; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; a sister, Cathy Mattis (Joe) Warner of York Springs. Also surviving Helen is her dear friend, Richard "Red" Thumma of Mt. Holly Springs.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Community Room at 1 West Penn St., Carlisle, PA with Rev. Randall Zook officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Carlisle Cancer Center, 25 Sprint Drive, Carlisle, PA 17013. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Mt.
