Helen Hartman

Helen E. Hartman, 93, formerly of Mechanicsburg, PA passed away at her daughter Wendie's home, surrounded by her family and loved ones on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Born on  May 28, 1925 to the late Sylvan Grant Seifert and Eva Mae (McCauslin) Seifert Stare, she was the widow of James M. Hartman who passed away on February 3, 2015.

Helen retired from the Kinney Shoe Corporation. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of God and was the past president of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Camping and going to the family cabin were her favorite pastime and she cherished and dearly loved spending time with family.

She is survived by her daughters, Marie Trimmer (Rev. Michael) and Wendie Haring (Robert), both of Lewisberry, PA; 4 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her siblings: Doris Hoover and Marie, Lawrence and Albert Seifert.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Mt. Pleasant Church of God, 146 S. York Rd., Dillsburg, PA 17019 with the Rev. Zack Wilt officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to her church/Camp Yolijwa Fund. Arrangements are being handle by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
