Heidi "Xenia" Miesemer

Heidi Ann Xenia Miesemer, 55, of Columbia, Maryland passed away July 15, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Washington, DC on October 30, 1965 to the late Isaac Shepherd and Ruth Rebecca Seraphima (Chambers) Shepherd.

Heidi started her own business and worked as a loan officer at her mortgage company. She also was the founder of the Columbia Business Group. She cared deeply for others, including animals, and had a giving heart. She sponsored many people that were in need. Heidi loved to stay active and physically fit. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, riding motorcycles, and going junking with her mother.

Heidi is survived by her loving husband, Arthur C. Miesemer Jr. of Columba, MD; her son, Derek Ephriam Shepherd; stepson, Jason Miesemer of Tampa, FL; mother, Ruth Rebecca Seraphima Shepherd of Emmitsburg, MD; and brother, Michael Edward Shepherd of Emmitsburg, MD.

A reception of the body at the Pillars of Orthodoxy Church, 350 W. Old York Road, Carlisle, PA will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, July 17, 2021. Divine liturgy will be held at the Pillars of Orthodoxy Church on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 19, 2021, at 10:00 AM at the Pillars of Orthodoxy Church with burial to follow.
