Harold Shoffner

Harold "SKIP" Theodore Shoffner, 82, of Dillsburg passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 in the UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle. He was the widower of Edna M. Shoffner who passed away June 5, 2012. Harold was born January 23, 1935 in West Fairview, PA to the late Lester and Mary (Langletz) Shoffner. He retired from Dickinson College, where he worked on the building and grounds crew. He was a lifetime member of the South Mountain American Legion, Post 674. He loved his grandson, Tucker, who was his best buddy to the end. Harold was a US Army Airborne Veteran, serving during the Korean War.

He is survived by his daughter, Natalie (Shoffner) Shettle of Shunk, PA; four grandchildren, Jennifer Shenk of Halifax, Andrew Nickey of Newville, Natasha Nickey and Tucker Robert both of Dillsburg.

A graveside service will be held Monday, October 23 at 11:00 a.m., in the Old Stone Church Cemetery, 6839 Wertzville Rd., Enola with Rev. Mark Sweeney officiating. The Cumberland County Honor Guard will be present for services. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
