Gregory Edward Hoover

Gregory Edward Hoover, 49, originally from Patton, PA, passed away on August 24, 2024. He was born March 29, 1975, in Altoona to Gary E. Hoover and the late Linda M. (Eckenrode) Hoover. 

Greg served in the Army National Guard and was a graduate of Cambria Heights High School in Patton, PA. He attended Triangle Tech to become an electrician and held various positions in the field. Greg was adventurous and loved being outdoors. Some activities he enjoyed the most were hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers, and snowboarding. 

Surviving are his son, Gavyn E. Hoover of Mt. Holly Springs; sisters, Melissa Brandt (Jonathan) of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, and Kristin Prohonic (James) of Indian Land, SC; nephews and niece, Zachary, Adam, Jeremy, Avery, and Garrett.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 12:00 PM in the Carlisle First Church of God, 705 Glendale St, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor Greg Hench officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be held at St. Benedict Cemetery in Carrolltown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community CARES, 50 W Penn St, Carlisle, PA 17013. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt.
