Gregory A. Guise, 58, of Gardners, PA, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was born December 12, 1957 in Carlisle, PA to Betty Sowers Guise of Carlisle, formerly of Gardners and the late Dale Miller Guise.
Greg graduated from the Boiling Springs High School class of 1975 and was employed at Vectron, formerly McCoy Electronics. A member of the Uriah United Methodist Church, he acted as the historian and sound technician for the church. Gregory was a member of the Upper Adams Fish & Game and a life member of the NRA. He loved being in the outdoors, especially hunting, and shot in the William Penn Pistol League for a number of years. Greg also loved cooking, western movies, Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Douglas E. and wife Barbara Guise; nieces, Andrea Moomaw and Miranda Lebo; nephew, Thaddeus Guise; great nephew, Clayton Lebo; and great niece, Summer Lebo, all of Gardners.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with the Rev. Jeffery Canankamp and Rev. Jan Hughes officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00 AM until the service. Interment will be at in the Uriah Church Cemetery, Gardners, PA.
