Glenn Turley Jr.

Glenn P. Turley, Jr., 82, of Mt. Holly Springs, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013 in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center with his family by his side.  He was born February 24, 1931 to the late Glenn Sr. and Helen Mae Stoner Turley.

Glenn was a graduate of Carlisle High School Class of 1951. He worked for the Reading Railroad and the Railway Express Co. and retired from Halls Motor Freight as a driver and dock worker. Glenn was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, St. Johns Lodge # 260 F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory, and the Teamsters Local #776 and was a former member of the Carlisle Fish & Game and the American Legion Post 109. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Glenn enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, and yard work. He especially loved his grandchildren and family.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jacqueline P. (Paulanack) Turley and his son, G. Michael Turley and wife Kathy of Carlisle. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Melissa E. Turley, Michael A. Turley and Philip T. Miller; two great grandchildren, Haley E. Miller and Matthew R. Miller; and his sister, C. Lourene Ciatola of Carlisle.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA with the Rev. Matthew Plant, his pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 16 from 6 to 8 PM and 1 hour prior to services on Thursday.
