Glen E. Sowers

Glen E. (Brownie) Sowers, 93, formerly of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017in the Manor Care Health Center, Carlisle, PA.  Born January 8, 1924 in Gardners, PA to the late John and Edna Warren Sowers, he was the widower of Ruth E. Sowers who passed away August 16, 1991.

Glen retired from the Teamsters Union # 776 as a truck driver. He was a member of the South Mountain American Legion # 674 and the VFW Post # 7343. An Air Force veteran, Glen served during WWII.

Surviving are his daughters, Nancy (Norman) Malloy of Carlisle and Wanda (Jim) James of Myrtle Beach, SC. Brownie loved his grandchildren, Shaun (Jennifer) Malloy, Tricia (David) Bailey, Dustin James, Jennifer (Troy) Stoltenberg and Norman Malloy; his great grandchildren Luke, Abbie, and Cassie Bailey, Ashley and Maci Thorson, Taylor and Eliza Stoltenberg; great great grandchildren Grace and Faith Moore; his companion and caregiver Linda Goodyear. He was predeceased by four siblings, Robert and William Sowers, Lottie Oyler and Anna Cromer.
