Geraldine Ruth Weaver

Geraldine Hess Weaver, 94, of Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022. She was born August 24, 1927, in Catawissa, PA to the late Latimore and Cary (Wolfgang) Hess and was the widow of Ephraim S. Weaver.

Geraldine graduated in 1945 from Catawissa High School and from Bloomsburg Teacher’s College in 1949.  She retired from Mechanicsburg Area School District, where she was an eighth-grade English teacher and was a former employee of Northern School District.  She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Mechanicsburg, where she was involved in Markettes, altar guild, and Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her two sons, Shannon E. Weaver (Barbara) and David S. Weaver (Lori), all of Mechanicsburg, four granddaughters, Jessica Sisolak, Amanda Brudowsky, Christine Chester, Riley Weaver and eight great-grandchildren, Grady Weaver, Brinley Brudowsky, Bennett Sisolak, Brystol Brudowsky, Blakelyn Brudowsky, Tinsley Sisolak, Casen Sisolak, Ruth Chester.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, in the St. Mark Lutheran Church, 117 W. Keller St., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Marlene Griffith-Stull officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and burial will be held at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA.
