Gerald "Gere" Dum

Gerald "Gere" A. Dum, 68, formerly of Biglerville, PA passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016  in the Kinkora Pythian Home, Duncannon, PA. He was born June 6, 1948 in Carlisle, PA to the late Josiah F. Jr. and Anna L. Gray Dum.

Gere graduated class of 1966 West Perry High School , received an associate's degree from HACC, received his master's degree in elementary education from Shippensburg University in 1973. He retired from Martins Bread Company after 29 years service as a route supervisor. He was an attendee to Totem Pole Playhouse and was an avid Hershey Bears and Green Bay Packers Fan. He loved traveling to Australia, Greece, Switzerland and all 50 states. His enjoyment was playing cards, dominos  and visiting with family and friends.

He is survived by two brothers, John Lanny (Melissa) Duke of NM and Ken Dum of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Jacie G. (Kenneth) Miller of Elliottsburg, PA; a niece Kaisa Dum and three nephews, Dustin Miller, Kyle Miller and Spencer Dum; and a great niece, Kira Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 29, 2016 in the Hollinger Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with the Rev. Lee Hyman officiating. Viewing will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, August 28, 2016 and from 10:00 AM until the service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the Centerville Memorial Park, Newville, PA.
