George Group

George R. Group, 82, of Mt. Holly Springs passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at his home. He was born July 12, 1931 in Carlisle to the late Theodore & Aeota Taylor Group. George retired from McCoy Brothers and was a member of the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Golden Group; two sons, Gary L. (Kathy) Group of Carlisle and Barry K. (Adele) Group of Mt. Holly Springs. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Angela Detwiler, Brandy Group, Justin Group, Tom Group and Kelli Group and two great grandchildren, Gustin Ginter and Lexi Day. George was predeceased by his son, Rickey L. Group, his daughter, Vickie K. Detwiler and a brother, Robert T. Group.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, September 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Rd., Mt. Holly Springs, with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery, following services. There will be no viewing. The family would like to invite all to a luncheon and visitation at the church following the graveside service. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
