Gene Wayne Smyth

Gene Wayne Smyth, 77, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, at his residence. He was born November 28, 1944, in Carlisle, to the late Ralph and Mary R. (Aughinbaugh) Smyth Jr.

Gene worked for Sylvania Shoe in Mt. Holly Springs, Dices Tire Shop in Carlisle, and most recently, Vitro Glass in Mt. Holly Springs.

Surviving is his loving wife, Helen V. (Herring) Smyth of 42 years; children, Michael Smyth of NC, and David Smyth of Mt. Holly Springs; stepchildren, Michelle (Smyth) Martin of Carlisle, and Todd Smyth of Georiga; one grandchild and seven step grandchildren; siblings, Ralph Smyth of Carlisle and Nancy Hoon of Killeen, TX; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Smyth.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Richard Reese officiating.
