Gary Lee Palmer, 78, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at his residence. He was born January 9, 1940 to the late Arthur I. and Myrtle (Lee) Palmer.
Gary retired in December of 2000 with 40 years of employment as a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways. In February of 2017, Gary left Yorkco Beverage after 14 years of service as the assistant manager. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 761, American Legion 674, VFW Post 7343 and The Fraternal Order of Eagles 1049. Gary attended the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Karen J. (Clancy) Palmer of Mt. Holly Springs; son, Gary Lee Palmer Jr. and wife, Kim of Gardners; daughters, Kathy Jean Brenneman of Red Lion and Kelly Jo Davis and husband, James of Lebanon; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 12:00 PM in the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Dr., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065 with Rev. Richard L. Reese and Pastor Dan Murray officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Celtic Hospice, 900 Century Dr., Suite 201, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
