Frances Romaine (Souders) (Keckler) Goshorn

Frances Romaine (Souders) (Keckler) Goshorn, 93, formerly of Mt. Holly Springs, PA, passed away on May 8, 2024, in Chapel Pointe at Carlisle. She was born July 6, 1930, in Newville to the late Norman Albert and Matilda Kathleen (Anderson) Souders. She was the widow of Richard C. Keckler and Max R. Goshorn.

Frances worked for the Ponytail Drive in Carlisle, Pink Cow Drive on the Holly Pike, Carlisle Pajama Factory in Carlisle, Sears Outlet Store in Carlisle, Holly Garment of Mt. Holly Springs, and Pebb Manufacturing in Carlisle. In her spare time, she enjoyed driving in the Powder Puff Derby’s at Williams Grove and shoot Archery at various clubs. She was a member of the Mt. Holly Springs Legion Honor Guard and Mt. Holly Springs Church of God. Frances started a Widows Group called “Wings” and taught children’s Sunday School classes at Bethel Church on the Holly Pike in her younger years.

Surviving Frances are her siblings, Glenn M. Souders of Newville, Donna M. (Souders) Brenizer of Carlisle and Edna K. (Souders) Beidel of Shippensburg; daughter-in-law, Patsy (Swartz) Keckler of Carlisle; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and both husbands, Frances was preceded in death by her son, Rodney C. Keckler; and siblings, Harry A. Souders, Harold A. Souders, Earl L. Souders, Norman C. Souders, Janet G. (Souders) Horn, and Lynetta J. (Souders) Myers.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Mechanicsburg Cemetery, 320 S. Frederick St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, and a visitation will be held at 12:00 PM after services at the cemetery in the Mt. Holly Springs Church of God, 602 McLand Drive, Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or Chapel Point At Carlisle (Benevolent Fund) Attn: Jonathan L.
