Florence V. Huard

Florence V. Huard, 82, of Carlisle, PA, passed away November 28, 2023, at her residence. She was born July 18, 1941, in Waltham, Massachusetts to the late Ernest O. and Emily (Hudson) Huard.

Florence proudly served our country in the United States Army for fifteen years during the Korean conflict and Vietnam War. She retired from the UPMC Harrisburg, where she was a nurse. Florence was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church. She loved to travel, visiting many places around the world. In her spare time, Florence enjoyed watching movies and reading books. She was an avid animal lover, having had many pets over the years.

Surviving are many dear friends, and her beloved cat, Nyla.  Florence was preceded in death by her two brothers, Richard, and David Huard.

Services will be held privately per the request of Florence. Burial will take place in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
